About your manager 

Tomáš Vlk is the director in the indirect tax team of tax and legal services at PwC. Tomáš has 13+ years of experience working at PwC, and in recent years, he has also been focusing on tax technologies that make life easier for clients and simplify their processes. The tax technology team works on various projects; in the area of process optimization, they have worked on streamlining approximately 80-100 processes, which have resulted in significant time and cost savings. The experience gained from these projects is something we strive to incorporate into the tax services provided by PwC. We are involved in regional and global technology groups, dedicate ourselves to international projects, and last but not least, we also engage in artificial intelligence and develop workflows in the Alteryx tool. 

Job description & summary 

We are looking for highly motivated candidates that are eager to build and develop their competences in the field of Data Processing and Workflow Automation in our Tax department. As a consultant in our team you will have a unique opportunity to design and implement tools that help improve and optimize tax processes for our clients and for PwC tax teams. 

You will work closely with clients through the whole project life cycle: from business requirements collection, cross technology advisory and planning to implementation and support. 

working closely with the tax team; you will help internal teams with the automation of current processes including evaluation the best fit technology solution 

support one-off solutions as well as complex cloud applications in for several hundred clients 

you will support clients in in-depth understanding of the key-drivers for their current and future success and solving the strategic and operational problems 

communicate with various project stakeholders; most stakeholders are from business so it's essential you can understand the business objective  

understanding of project team roles and proactive contribution to overall team success 

systematically work on documentation - many software tools mean many documentation for developers and users 

Requirement of the role 

university degree (preferred Math, Computer Science, Economics) 

willingness to learn new technologies and understanding of economics and management issues 

experience or knowledge in effective visualization (BI) and data analytics (Alteryx) 

fluent in Czech/Slovak and English 

knowledge of tools and programming languages using in large data sets analysis as a preferred skill 

interest in behavioral economics and/or data science
