The IT Technologist plays a critical onsite role in ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructure services across office, manufacturing, lab, and distribution environments. This position delivers hands-on technical support, partners with vendors and IT teams, and supports local and regional technology needs to keep operations running smoothly. This role will require up to 20% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure the successful completion of projects. **Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:** + Deliver onsite technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure services across office, manufacturing, lab, and distribution environments, ensuring uninterrupted IT operations and rapid incident resolution + Develop, document, and configure system specifications and designs according to defined architecture standards and business requirements; maintain detailed technical documentation for system parameters, formats, and updates + Participate in deployment planning, ensuring compliance with hardware, software, and security standards; evaluate hardware/software interfaces and operational requirements to optimize system functionality, performance, and compatibility + Provide hands-on support for network, server, endpoint, printer, and infrastructure equipment, including installation, maintenance, decommissioning, and performance optimization across LAN/WAN environments and operating systems + Design and implement technology solutions that meet company and user needs, gather and prioritize integration requirements, and assess whether standard platform functionality or customization is required + Act as the onsite point of contact and trusted advisor for IT service delivery, facilitating communication and coordination between business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams, and managing vendor relationships and project deployments + Support incident response and resolution for site infrastructure outages, facilitate communication between stakeholders, and ensure compliance with security and operational standards. **Required Knowledge and Experience:** + Strong proficiency in Windows/macOS, Active Directory, M365, and troubleshooting methodologies + Demonstrates a strong customer-support mindset with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills + Solid grasp of infrastructure dependencies and how systems interconnect, including basic knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure + Ability to perform hands-on infrastructure tasks (racking, cabling, console access) and support a broad set of technologies independently + Must be willing to support after-hours, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations when critical support is needed + Valid driver's license **Physical Job Requirements** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.  **Benefits & Compensation** **Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package** A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
