**Tuknik Government Services,** a Koniag Government Services company **,** is looking for an IT Techical Support Specialist to support KGS and our government customer in Cincinnati, OH.

The IT Technical Support Specialist I is responsible for providing first-level technical support to end users in a Microsoft Windows-based enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Windows operating systems, Office 365 applications, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) via VMware Horizon, and physical desktop and laptop systems. This role is critical in ensuring optimal end-user experience through timely and professional support services.
**Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:**
+ Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, remote tools, and in person for hardware, software, network, and application issues.
+ Support Windows 10/11 workstations, including user configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
+ Assist users with Office 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive.
+ Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot VMware Horizon VDI clients and ensure stable virtual desktop access.
+ Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving remote access, mobile devices, and network printers.
+ Manage and document incidents and service requests using the company’s IT ticketing system.
+ Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams or senior support staff.
+ Perform user account and group management in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 admin portals.
+ Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
+ Follow standard operating procedures for handling and resolving technical support issues.
+ Assist in inventory tracking and hardware asset management.
+ Contribute to knowledge base documentation and process improvements.
**Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ one year of relevant experience in an IT related position performing IT related customer support such as Help Desk, Network Operations Center (NOC), or IT customer services center.
+ Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows OS and Office 365 suite.
+ Experience supporting users in an enterprise environment.
+ Basic knowledge of VMware Horizon or similar VDI solutions.
+ Familiarity with Active Directory, user account administration, and basic networking concepts.
+ Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to lift and move equipment up to 30 lbs.
**Preferred:**
+ One year of accredited university and/or college education in Computer Science or a related field.
+ CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or similar certifications.
+ Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, or Zendesk.
