Job Description

Job Title: System Technician

Location: Lima (En el Distrito de San Borja, ocasionalmente en el Distrito de La Victoria (Santa Catalina) y en el distrito de Surco).

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled System Technician to join our IT team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and general support of IT systems, ensuring their efficient and reliable operation. This role requires strong technical knowledge across various IT domains and excellent customer service skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of personal computers (PCs).

Provide support for datacenter operations, including hardware and software maintenance.

Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

Administration of Virtual Machines under VMWARE and VCENTER environments. 

Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers and switches.

Execute general maintenance and support for a variety of IT systems and hardware.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Manage fault management environments like Zabbix

Interact directly with customers to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions.

Maintain positive relationships with IT customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.

Strictly follow cybersecurity guidelines

Document technical procedures and solutions.

Deliver user support for the correct use of applications and system tools

 Provide end-user training on the use of the information system

 Perform initial analysis and detailed documentation of incidents, ensuring traceability of each case

 Assist in the execution of maintenance windows, including scheduled night shifts

 Record failures using the designated tools and track user support tickets, ensuring proper updates and closure

 Communicate in English with the SOC teams in the U.S. or Brazil that monitor the system and with international vendors providing remote support.

Basic Requirements

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in PC installation and maintenance.

Knowledge of datacenter operations and basic server administration.

Proficiency with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

Understanding of networking concepts, including experience with firewalls and switches.

Demonstrated ability in general maintenance of IT systems.

Proven experience in IT service management

Basic to medium level of English proficiency (both written and verbal).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.

Prior experience in customer-facing IT support roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

English B1 Level

CISCO CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or equivalente

Windows Server Administration 

Education:

Technical degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related fields.

Experience: 2–3 years in technical support for information systems and IT infrastructure.

Knowledge of: Windows and Linux operating systems (support level), basic networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP), ticketing and incident management tools.
