IT Support Partner
Overview The Desktop Support Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of end-user computing environments across office and plant floor settings. This position is responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Windows workstations, providing hands-on technical support, and troubleshooting a wide range of hardware and software issues. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PC deployment and imaging, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver responsive desk-side support in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities + PC Deployment & Imaging + Perform workstation imaging and deployment using industry-standard tools. + Leverage Microsoft Intune and Autopilot for streamlined provisioning (experience with these tools is preferred but not required). + Ensure proper configuration of operating systems, applications, and security policies during deployment. + Technical Troubleshooting + Diagnose and resolve issues related to workstations, applications, peripherals, handheld devices, TCP/IP connectivity, and printers. + Provide timely incident response and resolution for both hardware and software problems. + Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary, while maintaining ownership of resolution. + Desk-Side Support + Deliver hands-on support for Windows 10 and Windows 11 workstations in a networked office environment. + Provide technical assistance on plant floor systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations. + Collaborate with IT teams to support specialized equipment and devices used in manufacturing or plant operations. + User Enablement & Training + Assist end users with workstation setup, application usage, and peripheral connectivity. + Provide guidance and training on standard software tools and IT best practices. + Inventory & Documentation + Maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets. + Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and deployment processes for knowledge base use. Qualifications + Strong experience with PC deployment and imaging (required). + Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot (preferred). + Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows 10/11 workstations, applications, peripherals, handheld devices, TCP/IP, and printers. + Ability to provide desk-side support in both office and plant floor environments. + Excellent communication and customer service skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montville, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
