Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide deskside and remote technical support across a diverse enterprise environment. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing deployments, and ensuring system security and performance. Responsibilities: • Provide technical support for Windows 10/11 systems, including troubleshooting and applying updates. • Manage Active Directory tasks: user profiles, groups, password resets, and account unlocks. • Support Microsoft Outlook and Exchange environments. • Perform inventory scanning, organization, and asset tracking. • Execute imaging and deployment using PXE Boot or similar tools. • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues and slow performance problems. • Support virtual desktop and workspace environments. • Troubleshoot browser issues (Firefox, Microsoft Edge). • Utilize Tenable or similar security scanning tools to maintain compliance. • Set up desks, install/test peripherals, and perform cable tracing. • Manage and resolve tickets using ITSM/ticket queue tools. • Apply ECM patching and troubleshoot remote client issues; experience with remote patching tools preferred. Required Skills: • Strong experience in IT support for hardware, software, and networking. • Proficiency with Windows OS troubleshooting and Active Directory administration. • Familiarity with imaging/deployment tools and patch management. • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, Outlook, etc.). • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have: • Familiarity with switches, routers, and basic networking concepts. • PowerShell scripting experience. • Knowledge of high-side phone systems and Haystack administration. • Project coordination skills and basic Excel proficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Herndon, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
