We are seeking a seasoned IT Leader to join our team in Japan. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, a proven track record of leading complex transformation & integration initiatives as well as demonstrated experience leading strategic technology planning, risk management, cost optimisation, digital transformation, IT governance and compliance functions.

We will count on you to:
Drive business transformation and lead strategic initiatives by providing hands-on contributions and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and global colleagues.Oversee delivery across a comprehensive change portfolio, setting milestones, monitoring progress, and mitigating risks to ensure projects meet organizational objectives.Act as the primary senior IT contact for business units and clients on information security, system issues and technology-related inquiries, fostering trust and collaboration.Drive discussions related to local system architecture strategies, ensuring scalable, secure and innovative solutions that support business growth.Manage stakeholder engagement throughout the initiative lifecycle, ensuring clear communication, alignment on project goals and timely progress updates.Lead and develop a high-performing technology team that partners closely with Marsh Japan’s business and MMC Technology functions, representing the country and region within the global organisation to drive impactful outcomes and foster a culture of accountability.What you need to have:
inimum 10 years’ experience leading large-scale transformation projects, preferably within a matrixed technology and infrastructure environment.Strong technical background with expertise in system architecture, infrastructure and enterprise applications.Proven experience managing complex system implementations, including mergers, acquisitions and Tier 1 system replacements.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-cultural teams and collaborate effectively across geographies in a highly matrixed environment.Experience working within regulated environments and ensuring compliance with security standards. Prior experience working in or with the financial/ insurance sector desirable.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships across all levels of seniority.Skilled at translating complex technical information into clear, accessible content for targeted audiences.Commercially astute and able to work with the business on managing priorities and needs.Collaborative team player who contributes positively to a dynamic team environment.Meticulous and comfortable with a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.Excellent command of written and spoken English and Japanese.Why join our team:
