The Technology & Platform Engineering (T&PE) is a group of IT experts who are passionate about ushering PMI into a smoke free future through technology. What’s the purpose of this role? 

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and deeply motivated GenAI Solution Architect with extensive experience in Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform and with solid understanding of alternative AI platforms to join our Generative AI and Automation team. The candidate will be responsible for defining, documenting, and regularly reviewing architecture, security frameworks, lifecycle processes, and governance principles for our technology components. This role is key in ensuring security, integrity and scalability of the environments meant to provide a solid, trusted and smooth functioning foundation for a variety of agents and automated solutions our aggressive GenAI strategy is driving.

 

Your day-to-day 

 

Define, document, and review architecture, security frameworks, lifecycle processes, and governance principles for Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power PlatformValidate major component changes and conduct necessary PoCs and pilot projects, design and document processes and support engineers and service integrators during deployment and in critical incident resolutionMaintain the Product’s conceptual integrity and guide the Product team on new technology, providing expert advice and true technology leadership within the teamAdvise Product Managers and Owners on the roadmap and product visionUnderstand and document license requirements and credit consumption guidelinesDefine high-level feature configurations, including access model, security access, environment strategy and usage and compliance monitoring methodologyValidate testing and monitoring strategies defined by engineersManage serious technical impediments and remove architectural concerns.Act as a technical mentor for product teamsBuild and maintain orchestration between different components, vendors, and stakeholders

 

What is needed to succeed in this Role? 

 

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field3-5 years progressive experience in solution architecture2-4 years working with Power Platform and Microsoft Copilot StackIn depth understanding of GenAI solutions, focused on Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry and solid understanding of other relevant AI stacks, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Amazon

 

Desirable Skills & Competencies

 

Technical Skills

Expert in Microsoft Copilot Studio, custom copilots, actions, plugins, and orchestration modelsDeep expertise in Power Platform, including Dataverse schema design, Power Apps architecture, Power Automate orchestration and premium connectors and Power Platform ALM strategiesStrong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, Workload identities, Conditional access, App registrations & permissions and OAuth/OIDC patternsSkilled or at least deeply familiar with Enterprise Integration Patterns like REST APIs, webhooks, service buses, event-driven architecture and cloud integration

 

Cross-Vendor AI & Agentic Thinking

Knowledge of agent frameworks, multi-agent collaboration, and tool-using agentsUnderstanding of AI governance, responsible AI, and compliance frameworksAbility to articulate differences between major GenAI stacks including granular capabilities, trade-offs, and enterprise implications

 

Soft Skills & Leadership

Ability to communicate with different audiences, both with deep technical articulation and high-level executive abstractionStrong stakeholder management within technology teams and across business units and geographiesExperience working in agile product models and with tools like Atlassian suiteAbility to evangelize new technologies and drive enterprise adoptionSystematic problem-solver with a strategic mindsetComfortable in highly regulated, complex, global enterprise environmentsExperience with LeanIXExposure to TOGAF principles, TOGAF certification is a plus
