We’re partnering with a leading Oil & Gas company to recruit an experienced Software Engineer for a 12?month casual contract based in Brisbane. This role offers a hybrid working model and the opportunity to contribute to high?impact digital and data initiatives within a global organisation.
 

About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of applications and data solutions used across the business. You’ll work closely with global teams, collaborate with technical and non?technical stakeholders, and contribute to modernisation efforts across cloud, data, and application platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimise applications using C# and Python

Design and execute MS SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions

Build and deploy solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem

Implement application containerisation best practices

Manage code repositories and workflows using GitHub

Collaborate effectively with global teams across multiple time zones

Communicate technical concepts clearly to users with non?technical backgrounds

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Strong experience with MS SQL databases and query optimisation

Proficiency in C# and Python

Hands?on experience with Microsoft Azure services

Knowledge of containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with GitHub for source control and CI/CD

Ability to work with and support non?technical stakeholders

Comfortable working in a global team environment
