Join us. **Job Description** The IT Software Asset Manager will support AECOM’s Global IT Asset and Configuration Management practice. This position will be the technical subject matter expert, and will interface with various technologies, business partners, and vendors to oversee and ensure accurate and complete software asset data, processes, and procedures. This role, in partnership with our strategic outsourcing provider, will deliver on key IT Software Asset Management practices including software deployment, license entitlements and allocations, and lifecycle management practices. _This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, combining in-office presence and remote work, and may be based in either Houston or Dallas, TX._ The IT Software Asset Manager will: + Lead the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of IT software asset management practices, including data health, lifecycle management, inventory optimization, and usage tracking and compliance; + Develop and promote efficient and effective IT software asset management strategies, policies, and practices to optimize cost, reduce risk, and deliver value from the organization’s assets throughout their lifecycle; + Evaluate and oversee that appropriate IT asset management tools, services and processes are in place and properly configured and maintained to gather and analyze data relating to asset and configuration lifecycles; + Manage true-up processes and optimization efforts in partnership with internal stakeholders, including coordination and execution of license reclamation, installation upgrades or uninstalls, and updates to internal software tools including ServiceNow AMDB, Service Catalog, and CMDB. + Ensure accurate and timely reporting, and that data completeness and quality issues are quickly identified and escalated to the responsible data or process owners; + Identify and report on breaches of IT asset management policies and procedures, and track remedial action; + Report on (or develop reporting on) remediation of digital technology asset-related risks and progress of optimization activity; + Support value assessment and management processes and reporting by providing the data needed to support these efforts; + Support activities released to response to audit and compliance requests, in partnership with other IT resources, relevant vendor and procurement managers, and other appointed delegates; + Collaborate within IT Asset Management and across IT Programs on roadmap, strategy, process objectives, and metrics to measure end-to-end asset lifecycle integration success; + Evaluate performance metrics against the defined critical success factors and institute actions to correct shortcomings or further streamline the process as necessary; + Interface with other processes and/or business functions to ensure they can leverage the benefits provided by the Asset and Configuration Management practice; + Lead communication and change campaigns to promote awareness and acceptance of the relevant asset management processes; + Plan, oversee and execute Software License Compliance activities to proactively identify discrepancies and, in partnership with the organization’s strategic outsourcing provider, drive observations and action items closure; + Monitor and analyze trends in the organization’s spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings and/or optimization; **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + BA/BS degree in finance, IT, engineering, business management or a related field plus at least 8 years of relevant IT experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Experience working in an IT Asset Management and Configuration Management (CMDB) role + Experience with ServiceNow (ITSM and SAM Pro) **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working in a similarly large, complex, global organization + Experience working with ServiceNow ITOM (Discovery, ACC-V) + Experience working with Microsoft SCCM + Experience in coordinating with both internal IT delivery teams and external IT service providers handling digital technology assets + Cross-functional IT experience in application or infrastructure management Certifications _The following certifications are considered desirable, but not mandatory:_ + ITIL v3 Foundation certification + Certified IT Asset Management Professional through IAITAM, IBSMA or BSA. + COBIT 5 Foundation **Additional Information** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position + Sponsorship for US work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
