Responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute*:
Deep understanding of Nordstrom business practices and processes, identifies gaps and proposes improvements - teaches and coaches others Expertise in current and upcoming industry trends - contributes strategic insight inside and outside Nordstrom Technology Expert of Nordstrom Technology organization - provides strategic organizational recommendations for improvement Solution functional and technical expert - proposes, designs and implements solutions Expertise across software delivery methodologies, as well as analysis tools, techniques and methods - teaches and coaches others Builds strong partnerships and is trusted to deliver solutions across multiple features or tools Adapts to ever-changing environment and quickly gets up to speed on new features or domains Mentors junior analysts within the discipline and domain Effectively listens and takes appropriate action Facilitates meetings and working sessions across medium to large teams and varying levels of leadership Negotiates and resolves conflicts while escalating appropriately Maintains objectivity (neutrality) in face of conflicting viewpoints; uses data and evidence Collaborates across teams and capabilities to consistently ensure that the right people with the right knowledge and expertise are involved Plans communication approach and delivers messages in a format that is appropriate across the organization Communicates confidently and skillfully across broad and diverse audiences, organizational levels, and situations Deep experience elicitation techniques, and some experience of most or all of the others Proposes new ideas and solutions to solve problems and challenges the status quo (where appropriate) within and outside assigned space using data, cost, impacts and measures. Identifies complex problems, breaks down to smaller parts to understand cause and impact, creates data based action plan within and outside of assigned space Demonstrates curiosity to research, investigate, understand and qualify business problems Partners with cross functional teams to proactively identify and resolve issues across multiple systems using root cause analysis; leveraging data, past experiences, and knowledge of system functionality Owns and drives analysis efforts for large projects within and outside an assigned space Able to plan, organize, and estimate their own work as well as assist team with large scale impacting work This position may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
