Your new role
As a Security Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in revolutionizing security operations by crafting cutting-edge automation solutions and deploying advanced technologies that eliminate manual processes. This unique position allows you to shape the future of incident response and security monitoring within Global Information Security.
Day-to-day your tasks will include:
Automate response to security events by integrating relevant systems into SIEM and SOAR. Enhance SOC operations by reducing manual workloads through automation. Build and manage security alerts, transforming log data for efficient storage using tools like Cribl. Automate and streamline security incident handling within ServiceNow Security Operations. Query logs efficiently using KQL, SQL, and AWS Athena. Maintain and develop playbooks, align with Incident Response, and assess security alert severity. Apply Python/JavaScript for automation, manage code using Git, and proactively improve stakeholder satisfaction.

With colleagues primarily located in Denmark, the USA, and India, you’ll be part of a dynamic global security community innovating and optimizing security strategies to deliver exceptional value across the Novo Nordisk network.
Your skills & qualifications
We’re looking for a new Security Engineer who will enjoy working in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
You’ll bring with you:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Security is required; relevant experience may be substituted for degree when appropriate. Advanced degree is preferred. +5 years of relevant experience is required. Ability to lead a project in the development and implementation of processes and technology. Vendor neutral technical certifications (CISSP, CISM, GCIH) are an advantage. Vendor sponsored and professional certifications (ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Splunk certifications, etc.) are desirable.
