We are seeking an IT Project Manager (PMO environment) under our San Diego, CA client’s PMO model to join our CGI team!

You will be responsible for the overall success of CGI’s client directed initiatives, including coordination, communication, planning, scope management, issue and risk management, and project execution.

While this position could be completed remotely for the right skillset, the "preferred" location is one of our Onshore Delivery Centers in either Belton, TX or Henderson, NV.

Day-to-day functions:
Responsible for managing the client relationship(s) on a daily & ongoing basis from pre-planning to closure of each assigned project. This will include general, ongoing communications, negotiation of scope and schedule changes (as they occur and ahead of time), tracking key risks proactively, all identified issues to clear and documented resolution, and all/ongoing progress reporting required by the CGI client that are specific to the account procedures. You will shape client expectations & manage scope related to the project with concise and collaborative emails & status updates.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

How you'll make an impact
• Build Smartsheet project plans (Waterfall/Agile); manage project scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables

• Lead client stakeholder engagement and facilitate/schedule meetings for CGI San Diego Metro Modernization

• Own and execute administrative tasks for both CGI and client; attend PMO meetings and metro-level readouts

• Maintain and review Project RAID log; ensure adherence to CGI/client policies and training

• Communicate effectively across CGI and client teams, document meetings with minutes and action items

• Prepare presentations, including executive-level reporting; identify issues and propose solutions

• Plan/manage team goals, schedules, and workflows; coordinate with team to stay on track

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

What you'll bring
• 5+ years of IT project management experience; Scrum Master preferred

• Apply general IT knowledge and 5+ years SDLC experience; suggest process improvements

• A PMP or Project Management certification

• Strong skills in planning/control, scope, risk, issue, and quality management

• Experience managing software/network projects using SDLC

• Preferred experience with State, Local Government, and Education (SLED)

• Proven consulting experience in client-facing roles; lead teams with confidence and accountability

• Represent CGI professionally; consult at senior/executive levels

• Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills

• Effective problem-solving; ethical, professional, and adaptable under pressure

• Self-motivated and organized, flexible in response to project changes

Tools & Applications
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, and SharePoint

• Familiarity with Agile principles

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree

 
 
Other Information:   
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $169,700.00.
