IT Project Manager
Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and proactive IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate initiatives across the Application Development and Technical Support departments for a major insurance client. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget. Manage full project lifecycle from initiation to closure across multiple concurrent projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, support engineers, business analysts, and client stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives (Agile/Scrum). Ensure alignment between application development and technical support teams to optimize delivery and support outcomes. Prepare and present status reports to client leadership and internal stakeholders. Manage vendor relationships and coordinate third-party deliverables when applicable. Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of IT project management experience, preferably in insurance or financial services. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT support operations. Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies. Proficiency in Jira for project tracking and team collaboration. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification. Familiarity with enterprise insurance systems and regulatory environments. Experience managing cloud-based application projects.
