Job Summary

Labcorp is seeking an experienced IT Product Owner to guide the development of a custom, AI‑enabled workflow optimization application. In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, UX, Engineering, and AI teams to translate concepts and designs into clear, actionable user stories that align with Agile methodologies and product strategy.

This position requires strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, product management best practices, and user‑centric design principles. You will collaborate with a wide range of user personas—including internal and external stakeholders—to gather requirements, refine features, and ensure delivery of a high‑quality product experience.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication.

Act as the primary resource for feature definition, scope clarification, and requirement interpretation.

Collect, analyze, and clearly document business requirements and complex user interaction scenarios.

Communicate regularly with stakeholders to gather input, present recommendations, and explain technical concepts in accessible language.

Own and maintain documentation related to workflow changes, functional requirements, and technical design needs.

Write, refine, and groom user stories with clear acceptance criteria to support user experience improvements and feature outcomes.

Build a deep understanding of customer applications and feature‑level behaviors.

Stay informed on emerging trends in web, mobile, and AI‑driven technologies.

Partner with engineering teams throughout design, development, and release cycles.

Escalate risks, barriers, or timeline concerns proactively to leadership.

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required

4+ years of experience as a Product Owner supporting complex digital products

Prior experience working at Labcorp

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in regulated industries such as Healthcare, Finance, Biopharma, or Life Sciences

Experience designing workflow patterns or improving operational processes

Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies

Experience with healthcare software (preferred)

Clinical laboratory exposure (preferred, not required)

Skills & Competencies

Ability to analyze business goals, metrics, and customer needs to produce clear requirements or user stories

Familiarity with QA practices, including writing acceptance criteria and test plans

Solid understanding of product engineering and product management principles

Proficiency with tools such as Jira and Confluence

Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences

Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment

Entrepreneurial mindset and adaptability to shifting priorities

Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically

Pay Range: $108,500 - $113,925

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
