Location: 1000 Deerfield Parkway, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 Position Title: IT/OT Network Consultant Salary: $161,179 - $194,400 Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week Summary of Duties: Execute the Manufacturing IT Networks Go-to-Market approach and sales strategy for Industrial Communication in the U.S. to achieve the respective business goals. Work with product marketing managers to implement marketing strategies and programs. Partner with customers to provide strategic guidance through informative consultation and recommendations on the network technology and architectures to facilitate decision-making. Provide consultative support/technical advice to sales teams, channel partners, and ISN partners on relevant products and services. Provide pre-sales support for sophisticated technical applications, deploy Application Engineer resources as necessary, and deliver sales support to external partners (Distributors, Solution Partners) relative to Communication and Networking products. Facilitate open dialogue between Engineering and IT teams at customer locations while understanding both perspectives and articulating Siemens’ “Ethernet on the plant-floor or OT” approach. Drive design and implementation of robust and reliable Ethernet networks suitable for applications in manufacturing environments, including Siemens’ own, while providing input into product development requirements for new products or improving existing products or product lines. Serve as a coach for the Network Consultants and Regional Sales force in case of IT/OT related topics. Provide training to Network Consultants to improve overall organizational expertise to engage with IT professionals at customer meetings. Lead and maintain key projects for the portfolio to include regular updates. 70% domestic travel required. Remote work permitted. Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Network Consultant, Technical Support Consultant, or a related occupation. The position requires five (5) years of sales or technical experience. The position requires four (4) years of experience with the following skills: Industrial automation solutions sets and architectures; Experience with networking products as a critical component of common automation system; Experience with SCALANCE & RUGGEDCOM product lines; and Experience with the components of an automation system, including PLCs, HMI, and SCADA. 70% domestic travel required.
