We are seeking a versatile IT Operator to support the technology infrastructure of our 24/7 manufacturing site. This role is critical to maintaining business continuity across multiple IT/OT systems, including end-user support, servers, networks, industrial devices, and production applications. The ideal candidate is an early stage Desktop Support analyst who thrives in fast-paced settings, solves complex problems, and works closely with production teams, and learns new systems quickly.
**You will make an impact by:**
End-User & Device Support
+ Provide on-site, first-level desktop support for manufacturing and office employees
+ Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Windows-based PCs, laptops, and peripherals
+ Support printers, including Zebra label printers, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
+ Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level IT teams following established procedures
System & Application Support
+ Assist with software installations, updates, and patching in accordance with IT standards
+ Ensure devices are properly configured, secure, and up to date
+ Support Microsoft Office applications and other approved business software
Network & Account Support
+ Perform basic network troubleshooting (connectivity, IP addressing, printer access)
+ Assist with Active Directory tasks such as password resets, account unlocks, and group access (as authorized)
Manufacturing Environment Support
+ Support production-floor workstations and devices with minimal disruption to operations
+ Assist with onboarding, equipment setup, and device replacements for manufacturing
+ Provide basic user training on standard hardware and applications when needed
Asset & Documentation Management
+ Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment and accessories
+ Assist with equipment procurement, deployment, and refresh activities
+ Document incidents, resolutions, and procedures within the IT service management system
Security & Compliance
+ Follow established IT security policies and procedures
+ Report security concerns or incidents to the appropriate teams
+ Support compliance initiatives as directed by IT leadership
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ CompTIA A+ or IT Fundamentals (ITF+)
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in desktop or end-user IT support
+ Working knowledge of:
* Windows OS (Windows 10/11)
* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
+ * Active Directory (basic user and group support)
+ TCP/IP fundamentals (IP address, subnet, gateway)
+ Experience supporting printers, including Zebra label printers
+ Ability to work in a manufacturing or plant-floor environment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator
+ Familiarity with ITSM and ITIL V4
+ Familiarity with Linux OS
+ Experience with Intune, Endpoint Central, and ISO imaging.
+ Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM
