**Introduction** The IT Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and performance. This role requires foundational networking knowledge, hands-on experience with LAN/WAN technologies, and the ability to provide operational support for switching, routing, and firewall systems. The ideal candidate will assist in troubleshooting, configuration, and monitoring of network components in a dynamic enterprise environment. **Your role and responsibilities** * Provide network support for LAN/WAN environments, ensuring stability and performance. * Assist in configuring and maintaining Switching/Routing OR Firewall devices. * Monitor network health and troubleshoot connectivity issues promptly. * Support implementation of network changes and upgrades under guidance from senior engineers. * Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and operational procedures. * Collaborate with IT teams to resolve network-related incidents and service requests. * Ensure compliance with security and operational standards. **Required technical and professional expertise** * 1-5 years of experience in network engineering or network support roles. * Strong understanding of foundational networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, subnets). * Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN technologies. * Familiarity with Switching/Routing OR Firewall devices (Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.). * CCNA certification (or actively pursuing). * Basic troubleshooting skills and experience with network monitoring tools. * Good communication and problem-solving skills **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Exposure to network security principles and firewall policies. * Experience with VPNs and remote access solutions. * Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments. * Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing systems. * Interest in pursuing advanced certifications (CCNP, etc.).
