Key Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage IT Operation:

Oversee organization-wide IT systems, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable data and voice communication infrastructure.Ensures secure IT environment by adherence to the integrity controls, regulations, and guidelinesImplement and maintain cybersecurity frameworks according to WV Global IT direction to protect data and systems, conducting regular risk assessments and incident response drills.Work procedures, Work schedules, and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of information technology operations.Directions in the analysis, design, programming and administration of information technology systems.Leading projects for implementation of new standard or customized software solutions.Research and develop comparisons (features, cost, etc.) for recommended solutions and alternatives.Assisting team members in performing duties; provide coaching to build up second line leadership.Providing technical support to WVIT initiatives and other IT initiatives to make sure all business applications are running smoothly.Be involved in the setup, configuration and security of IT services in the cloud and providing best practices and support.Ensure all hardware and software are licensed and meet minimum standards of WV Partnership and local standards. Implements solutions consistent within current context of overall architecture.

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute a cloud-first IT strategy and annual plan, aligning with global cybersecurity standards and business objectives.Implement zero-trust security models and data governance policies to ensure compliance with regulations according to WV Global IT direction.Prepare and manage IT budgets, prioritizing cloud optimization and cybersecurity investments.Review and propose secure, cloud-based hardware/software solutions, ensuring alignment with global IT architecture.Lead the adoption of emerging technologies (e.g., AI-driven security, hybrid cloud) to support long-term business strategy

Relationship, Communications/Consulting:

Represent the information technology function of the organization at various conferences and meetings at national, region and partnership levels.Provide advice in the area of information technology and information management to the WV Myanmar management.Provide inputs to the management and other departments to determine information technology requirements of departments to determine boundaries and priorities of data processing and office automation projects, and to discuss system needs.IT services in the office are delivered effectively and efficiently in line with service level agreements.Promote cybersecurity awareness through training and communication to staff Prepare IT operating plan for the department and update as necessary.Ensure that tasks are carried out according to the plan. Communicate official information technology plans, policies and procedures to management, staff, and vendors.Prepare monthly management report for the department and send to the National Director in the last week of every month.Perform any other tasks assigned by National Director from time to time.Participate in daily devotions, staff meetings and other meetings/retreat.

Capacity Building:

Ensure that IT staff have access to training and updated information related to IT.Ensure that IT staff understand cutting edge tools in IT services.Ensure that IT staffs have viable individual learning plans.Ensure staff has the resources and skills needed to support all work initiatives within the assigned function.Planning and organizing workloads and staff assignments; trains, motivates and evaluates assigned staff; reviews progress and directs changes as needed.Clear performance expectation of IT staff.Conduct performance management/appraisal to subordinates as necessary.Regular mentoring and coaching of IT team members in multiple areas of expertise.Regular meeting with IT staff.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Typically requires 10 or more years of relevant technical and business work experience in computer systems or support.Experience in strategic planning and execution.Knowledge of information technology computer systems, hardware and software and the ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations.Experience in computer hardware, network, security and database administration.Software development experience.Bachelor’s Degree, or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields. Or equivalent work experience.Excellent computer skills including client services technologies and products to include workstations and mobile devices hardware and software.Strong diagnostic skills and a working knowledge of current technologies.Microsoft/Google/Amazon and Cisco certifications in area of cloud and client/server network technologies.Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.Must have service orientation with ability to lead teams, to organize, prioritize and delegate tasks while transferring knowledge and expertise.Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively with a diverse team of information technology professionals.Ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks concurrently. Adaptability and flexibility.Availability to work odd hours, when the need arises.Requires interacting with all levels of staff and management and the ability to communicate with and train non-technical users in the use of technical systems in a cross-cultural setting.
