Job Summary:

The IT Junior Systems Engineer role focuses on developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and support systems administration. Key responsibilities include managing system configurations, user accounts, troubleshooting, and bulk data processes while documenting workflows for scalability. Required skills include, but are not limited to, strong PowerShell proficiency, knowledge of Windows systems administration, and experience with IT automation to maintain system stability and performance.

Essential Job Functions:

Develop, test, and maintain PowerShell automation scripts for system administration and routine processes. Manage daily operations, including user accounts, server environments, system updates, and configurations. Monitor and optimize system performance through troubleshooting and health checks. Support data integrity through bulk conversions and system monitoring. Create, update, and document solutions and provide technical support to internal teams. Build and maintain cloud solutions with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and code deployment. Collaborate on architectural decisions and implement technical solutions with stakeholders. Implement SSO integration and continuously improve software performance. Participate in product design, technical planning, and system architecture discussions. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

One year of experience with PowerShell scripting for task automation and basic Windows systems administration is required. Basic understanding of Windows systems administration, including Active Directory, user permissions, and server operations is required. Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve system-related issues. Familiarity with IT troubleshooting methodologies and tools. Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Exposure to additional scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) is preferred. Experience with automation tools or working on projects related to systems administration and IT support. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Detail-oriented, excellent prioritization and organizational skills. Ability to balance multiple projects and timelines simultaneously. Analytical thinking with the ability to exercise appropriate judgment and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize action items in high-stress situations to meet deadlines. Self-directed and able to work independently with little supervision. Ability to satisfactorily meet Company-measured goals and objectives. Ability to adapt to change. Ability to learn and become proficient in all workflows within each platform within the department. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s is preferred). Experience in deploying, managing, and monitoring REST APIs with SQL/NoSQL back-ends is preferred. Experience working in design, building, testing, and deploying changes and implementing DevOps Process is preferred. Experience setting up monitoring and log collection tools is preferred. Ability to tackle problems at a scale both small and large, with a constant focus on optimization, high availability, and security as it relates to the CI/CD process is preferred.
