This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work three days per week at the Support Center in Legacy West, Plano, TX.This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance are not provided.Availability is required from June 1 through August 7, 2026, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.

 

About the role

We’re looking for a curious, analytical, and tech-savvy college intern to join our IT Digital team for the summer. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting E-commerce, Mobile App, and CRM platforms at Sally Beauty.

You’ll work closely with Senior Digital Application Managers, Engineers, Product Managers, and business stakeholders to help deliver digital and loyalty features to enhance the customer experience — from online shopping and mobile engagement to personalized marketing and loyalty driven with customer data. 

This role blends project management and business analysis, making it ideal for students interested in technology, retail, and customer-centric digital and CRM solutions.

What You’ll Learn

Responsibilities

Support project managers, scrum masters, and business analyst in projects currently in progress across E-commerce, Mobile App, and CRM platforms using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Assist with gathering, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements, including user stories, functional requirements, and process flows

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives

Help maintain and update product backlogs, roadmaps, and project documentation

Support Waterfall-based project activities, including SDLC documentation, milestone tracking, open items, status reporting, and change management

Collaborate with Engineering, UX, QA, and business stakeholders to clarify scope, dependencies, and acceptance criteria

Assist with defect tracking, leading efforts to unblocking project blockers, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features and enhancements

Help track project progress against key deliverables, identify risks or blockers, and help escalate issues as needed

Analyze data to support continuous improvement and informed product decisions

Contribute to processing documentation, workflows, and presentation materials for leadership updates.  Opportunities to present your updates to leadership will be available.

Working conditions & physical requirements

Our Sally Beauty Headquarters is in Plano, Texas at Legacy West. We are a hybrid-work environment; we work Monday thru Wednesday from the office with collaborative hours being from 9AM – 4PM, and then the remaining days are worked from home. You will have an assigned desk with the Digital team on the 14th floor.     

Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday or Friday

The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. Typically, the associate may sit comfortably to do the job. However, some tasks and activities may be walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts, driving an automobile to a store location, etc. These activities are not frequent and do not require significant physical demands to perform the work.

While involving everyday risks or discomforts, the work environment is designed with standard safety
