Job Summary:
Hobart is part of the ITW Food Equipment Group, an Illinois Tool Works Fortune 200 company, and is a recognized leader among commercial food equipment worldwide. We are seeking a motivated intern to assist with a variety of IT support and infrastructure tasks. This is a temporary position ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in IT operations, software deployment, and user support.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with operating system upgrades and ensure devices meet current software standards.Support the deployment and removal of enterprise software across company devices.Help maintain and organize IT management tools and ensure data accuracy across systems.Participate in tracking, documenting, and updating hardware and software inventories.Set up, configure, and distribute new hardware, including computers and mobile devices.Provide basic technical support to end users by resolving common IT issues.Assist in managing helpdesk tickets, escalating complex issues as needed.Support ongoing efforts in device monitoring, system updates, and security software deployment.Help improve asset tracking and reporting through updates to internal systems.Contribute to documentation and process improvements within the IT department.Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.Basic understanding of Windows OS, antivirus software, and IT support tools.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.Compensation Information:
