What this job involves –

As a Data Center IT Help Desk Technician, you will provide technical support to our internal teams, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and devices. You will also serve as the on-site technical resource, assisting other technical teams (Networking, Servers, etc.) as needed. The role will be split between our Odessa, TX and Wink, TX Data Centers.

What is your day to day:

Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Windows, Mac, and iOS devices across the organization.Administer and maintain Microsoft Intune for device management, application deployment, and compliance policies.Support identity and access management using Entra ID, ensuring secure and seamless user experiences.Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including setting up accounts, devices, and permissions.Monitor and respond to help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues when necessary.Document technical issues, resolutions, and processes to enhance the knowledge base and improve future support.Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain best practices for system security and efficiency.Provide support for hardware and software in datacenter environments as needed.

Desired experience and technical skills –

Required:

2+ years of experience in an IT help desk or technical support role.Proficiency in supporting both Windows and Mac operating systems.Experience with Microsoft Intune for device and application management.Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent) are a plus.
