About the role

Sally Beauty is looking for a qualified intern to join our Finance team supporting our Supply Chain organization.  Our Supply Chain is entering an exciting stage of transformation, and we are looking for an intern who can help measure the impact of the changes happening in our business.  

You will gain exposure to Distribution Center operations and transportation network while being responsible for assigned finance projects.  You should be prepared to work with multiple business partners in a fast-paced team environment.

This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work three days per week at the Support Center in Legacy West, Plano, TX.This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance are not provided.Availability is required from June 1 through August 7, 2026, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.

 

Primary Duties

Each finance intern will partner with an experienced finance leader who will serve as a mentor to guide how we conduct business and how tasks are completed

Interns will be assigned several projects giving exposure to different areas within Supply Chain

Specific projects can include building financial models to support analysis and/or forecasting efforts, comparing financial performance to key competitors, or creating business reporting highlighting opportunities to reduce expense

Partner with business partners to complete each assigned project

Work with analysts within the Finance organization to gain an understanding of month end close and reporting

Each intern will give an end-of-summer presentation to Sally executives on one of their projects

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

 

Pursuing a major in Finance, Accounting, or Business
•   Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, particularly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
•   Some knowledge or education in G/L software

•   Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
•   Excellent Organizational skills
•   Ability to use data to understand and analyze complex business problems
•   Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial business partners 
•   Ability to work with multiple departments and various levels of management

 Working conditions & physical requirements

Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday or Friday

The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. Typically, the associate may sit comfortably to do the job. However, some tasks and activities may be walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts, driving an automobile to a store location, etc. These activities are not frequent and do not require significant physical demands to perform the work.

While involving everyday risks or discomforts, the work environment is designed with standard safety precautions. These precautions, typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, residences, or commercial vehicles, include using safe work practices with office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, ensuring the safety and comfort of our associates.
