Our client is seeking a technically capable IT professional to support patient simulation systems throughout the Cincinnati market. These simulators are used for cutting‑edge medical training, and you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting them for healthcare and academic customers. Travel Expectations This position requires full travel flexibility from Monday through Friday, with all travel expenses covered. You can expect to drive up to five hours within your region, with mileage reimbursed after the 30th mile. Hotels are provided for long‑distance travel, and flights are arranged for any trip over five hours. While much of the travel is local and you will be home most evenings, you must remain open to both driving and flying. Weekends are always at home. A 13‑week, fully paid training program (classroom learning + field shadowing) is required and involves Monday–Friday out‑of‑state travel. All expenses are covered during training and ongoing. Key Responsibilities + Install, maintain, and troubleshoot patient simulator systems + Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure all equipment remains fully functional + Provide excellent customer service at hospitals, universities, and clinical facilities + Support Windows 11–based devices and network-connected systems + Work independently while traveling between customer sites Why This Role Fits Experienced Early‑Career IT Professionals + Ideal for technicians with 1+ years of IT support, help desk, desktop support, or field tech experience + Strong hands‑on experience with hardware, software, and networking fundamentals + Professional exposure to enterprise medical and academic environments + Paid 13‑week training builds advanced troubleshooting and field service capability + Excellent pathway toward desktop support, field services, system administration, or networking roles Requirements + Some professional IT experience is required (help desk, desktop support, field technician, etc.) + Understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, and basic IP networking + Experience supporting Windows 11 + Flexibility to travel Monday through Friday + Electronics aptitude is a plus + Excellent customer service and communication skills + Reliable transportation + Must be fully available—this role is not compatible with attending classes or weekly recurring commitments + Completion of an IKM assessment (similar to CompTIA A+) is required Additional Details + Simulators run on Windows 11 and integrate with customer networks + 13‑week paid training with required travel + All expenses covered + Mileage reimbursement starting at mile 31 + $65/day per diem for food when traveling + Paid for travel time after the first hour + Minimum of 5 hours paid per day; over 5.5 hours paid as 8 hours + Open to early‑career and mid‑level IT professionals Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
