Job Summary:
Join our team as an IT Asset Management Specialist I and play a vital role in managing the lifecycle of information technology assets within the organization. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and optimize technology asset utilization across the company. As an IT Asset Management Specialist I, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to track, monitor, and manage IT assets from procurement to disposal, supporting the organization’s operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and accessoriesUpdate and manage the configuration management database (CMDB) to reflect accurate asset informationTrack the lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioningConduct regular audits to ensure compliance with IT asset management policies and proceduresCollaborate with other IT teams to establish and maintain asset tracking and reporting processesDevelop and implement asset tracking processes and workflowsCoordinate with vendors for procurement, licensing, maintenance, and disposal of IT assetsMonitor and analyze asset utilization and make recommendations for optimizationIdentify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to asset managementProvide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding asset management proceduresStay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in IT asset managementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of IT asset management principles, tools, and processesFamiliarity with ITIL practices and understanding of CMDB systemsProficient in using asset management tools and softwareExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain recordsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentStrong organizational and time management skillsExperience and Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR 4 years of equivalent experiencePrior experience in IT asset management or a related role preferredSupervisory Requirements:
