IT Deployment Technician
Job Description One of our largest off-price Retail clients, based in South Jersey, is looking to hire fully remote IT Technicians to join their Store Service team. This team is responsible for upgrading, managing, and supporting the technology/systems for store registers and payment terminals. This role will assist is a short-term (will take at least the month of January) PC licensing upgrade, which will be across 2,000 PCs and 300 store locations. Will be communicating with store managers and a third-party technician at each of these locations, to guide them through the process and provide any needed assistance. The third-party technician will be onsite at the store with a thumb drive that contains the new imaging, then once imaging is completed, this role will be responsible for configuring and testing the register. Will need to do post-installation validation, to confirm all technology is operating efficiently, then update/document the status in deployment records. In summary, the primary responsibilities will include; - Remote Coordination: Communicate with Command Center leads and third-party technicians using phone, Cisco Jabber, and MS Teams. - System Imaging and Configuration: Utilize tools such as VNC, remote management platforms, and phone support to install updated PC images on POS and Backoffice systems. - Post-Installation Validation: Provide remote assistance to verify connectivity and ensure all applications are functioning as expected - Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve deployment issues using remote access tools (e.g., RDP, TeamViewer). - Documentation: Maintain accurate deployment records and update configuration guides. - User Support: Offer remote guidance and assistance to end-users during deployment We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - 1+ year(s) of experience in IT support-related positions - Experience with remote technical support (over-the-phone, Teams, Cisco Jabber, etc) - Experience with troubleshooting and configuring registers/payment terminals or related retail technology - Experience providing support to non-technical users and understanding of how to provide the necessary guidance - Excellent professionalism, communication, and customer service skills - Must be willing to work 4 10 hour shift per week, with some flexibility; Mon through Thurs, likely 8am-6pm EST
