The Manager, Data Integration is responsible for managing the software engineers and overseeing database and transaction processing systems that form the basis of the enterprise’s computer systems, including detail application design, development and implementation of business and specialized systems and programs, the development and implementation of development standards and tools. They direct, manage and coordinate projects to build and/or implement comprehensive integrated system solutions.
Oversee the activities of the application programming group. Coordinate the activities of the Group with IS and other enterprise departments. Provide technical leadership to IS and the enterprise. Review workload and staffing requirements, make recommendations regarding employment, promotions, salary adjustments, and termination. Perform employee counseling and work performance evaluations. Identify potential problems before they occur and implement solutions. Schedule and prioritize work to accommodate IS and user needs while minimizing impact on current projects. Contribute to the training and development of IS personnel.
Directly supervises employees; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities** _- Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance_
+ Assist the director in the management and direction setting for the enterprise’s application programming group including setting priorities, budgeting, coordinating, training, internships, and the reporting of group activities. Responsible for the daily activities of the members of the enterprise application programming group.
+ Lead a team of developers to build and deliver solutions.
+ Help plan resources, provide effort estimates
+ Design, develop and support integration solutions using technologies such as: Oracle integration cloud(OIC) , Python, Java, PL/SQL
+ Work with cloud engineering staff, develop team members, and implement best practices and procedures.
+ Optimize cloud integration designs for optimal performance, reduced cost, and security standards.
+ Help implement automation tools and processes for integration solutions.
+ Collaborate with other teams to ensure standards are maintained.
+ Maintaining documentation on integrations and help support teams’ knowledge on the integrations built.
**Other Responsibilities:**
+ Perform Project Management, System Analysis, and Programming functions when required.
+ Perform analysis and programming tasks when required.
+ Publish articles describing both the enterprise’s activities and assessments of systems technology.
+ Perform at or above the enterprise’s Information Systems performance standard.
+ Fulfill departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel absence.
**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications** _- Summary of knowledge, experience and education required._
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical disciple or commensurate experience (10+ years) in IT development roles
+ 5+ years of experience in a leading a team of 5+ members(onsite/offshore), delivering solutions.
+ 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and supporting integrations on Oracle integration cloud (OIC) or Java or Python or PL/SQL required.
+ Expertise in writing SQL required.
+ 3+ years’ experience in writing integrations from various sources/destinations like databases, files, message queues, APIs required.
+ GCP, OCI certifications (a plus)
+ Experience in other integration tools like Talend, Informatica (a plus)
+ Knowledge of services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery type technologies
+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
+ Strong ability to multi-task and work independently.
+ Team and business leadership experience.
+ Great communication and interpersonal skills.
**Desired Qualifications** _- Desired but not required._
+ Experience in traditional waterfall methodology to Agile methodologies
+ Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, version control, and testing
+ Handling agile meetings
+ Familiarity with Google Bigquery, Bigtable a plus
+ Proven experience defining, building and maturing API layers into legacy environments
+ Familiarity with IT and IT service management concepts (ITIL)
+ Critical incident management and response experience
+ Experience creating, maintaining and optimizing Standard Operating Procedures
