Job Description : IT - Computer Engineering

Job Summary 

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT - Computer Engineering to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Information and Communication Technology systems on a major marine infrastructure construction project. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless communication, data management, and IT infrastructure performance across the project site. 

Key Responsibilities 

Provide technical IT support across project sites and offices, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. Manage and maintain project management systems, databases, and digital documentation platforms. Support engineering teams with IT tools for design, planning, and execution (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, Primavera). Ensure cybersecurity protocols are implemented and followed across all systems. Assist in system integration between construction software and enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, procurement systems). Monitor and optimize network performance and ensure reliable connectivity at remote construction sites. Collaborate with technical office engineers to support data analysis, reporting dashboards, and digital workflows. Provide training and guidance to staff on IT systems and digital tools.

Qualifications & Experience 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in IT support or systems engineering, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with marine construction environments is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Experience with project collaboration tools, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity best practices. Familiarity with marine or heavy civil construction projects is a plus. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.  Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced project environment. 

Additional Requirements 

Willingness to be based full-time on-site in Oman. 

Fluent in English (spoken and written). 

Valid passport and ability to travel as required.
