IT Change Manager

Insight Global is looking for a fully remote Change Manager to join one of the leading Insurance companies in Canada.The IT Change Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operationalizing an enterprise-wide Change Advisory Board (CAB) process. This includes migrating the current technology leader approval workflow into a formalized CAB structure, aligning with ITIL best practices, and ensuring governance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement across all IT domains. This individual must have a strong background in IT change management principles and the ability to drive change in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities include the below:
-Design and implement an enterprise-wide Change Advisory Board (CAB); Transitioning from the current tech leader approval model to a formalized, scalable governance structure.
-Define CAB charter, roles, responsibilities, and operating procedures aligned with ITIL best practices.
-Establish CAB membership across IT domains (e.g., Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, Applications) and coordinate onboarding and training.
-Develop and document end-to-end CAB workflows, including change submission, review, approval, and post-implementation validation.
-Acts as the chair for the Change Advisory Board (CAB); Facilitate CAB meetings, ensuring timely review of change requests, risk assessments, and decision documentation.
-Create and maintain change calendars, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to support transparency and audit readiness.
-Collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders to ensure CAB adoption, compliance, and continuous improvement.
-Manages the prioritization and categorization of IT Change Management requests in coordination with EPMO.
-Coordinate with business units, IT support, and other stakeholders to communicate upcoming changes, timelines, and expected impacts.
-Utilize the IT Change Management system to create a consolidated change schedule to include the identification and resolution of scheduling conflicts.
-Work with cross-functional teams to plan and schedule changes, minimizing disruption to business operations.
-Support other processes (Incident, Problem and Configuration) with respect to IT Change -Management during projects, and service disruptions.
