As an IT Change and Configuration Manager supporting a military organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, security, and operational readiness of mission-critical IT systems. This position oversees the lifecycle of IT assets and changes within a highly regulated and security-conscious environment, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and supporting the warfighter through reliable, resilient technology infrastructure.

As an IT Change and Configuration Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our military customer. You will play a crucial role via the following:

Supports all required change and configuration boards and working groups.  Develops change documentation and maintains forward schedule of changes.  Provides change management services and participates in change management processes to ensure that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of changes.  Manages the introduction and implementation of changes affecting all services and in any of the management processes, tools, and methodologies designed and utilized to support service components.Regularly conduct inventory assessments to ensure audit compliance and accurate customer reporting and contractual documentsEstablish and manage a comprehensive configuration management system while performing complex configuration management initiativesProvides configuration management support to assigned projectsDesigns and establishes configuration management documentationIntegrates software, develops external interfaces, and maintains technical documentationEnsures the integrity of builds and artifacts to support successful production releasesDrives technology release strategy, execution, and improvements across development life cycleDesigns a pipeline that minimizes manual involvement and leads to continuous improvementsCollaborates with other departments to implement best practices for release tools and process and improve productivityManages end-to-end availability, security, and performance of mission-critical release practices and environmentsMay act as a liaison between Program Management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent years of experience5+ years of related experienceITSM experience including CMDB and Change Management.Must possess active Top Secret clearance with SCIActive ITIL v4 certification is preferredUS Citizenship Required
