IT Business Support Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

Conducts and coordinates financial, personnel, product, market, operational, and related research to support strategic and business planning. Develops economic demographic, business, and sociological forecasts to support development of plans and strategies. Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with area business community, internal and external agency customers, and other related contacts. Monitors effectiveness of business operations, assesses quality of service and makes recommendations to improve operations. Gathers, compiles and analyzes data. Prepares reports of findings and analysis. May make recommendations to management for operational changes. In an on-going and continuous manner develops programming skills by learning new programming languages or application expertise or improving existing skill levels. Obtains training and certification where needed and available as related to job responsibilities and needs of HFRD. Officially serves as Georgia's QIES Technical Point of Contact for CMS on hardware and network related issues. Participates in training and instruction as available and required for QIES systems including ASPEN. Assists as needed and when available with desktop PC, tablet, laptop, and workstation support for HFRD users. This involves updates, system migrations, application installations and adjustments, and computer hardware troubleshooting for HFRD users and in coordination with other HFRD and DCH stakeholders. Keeps up with HFRD server infrastructure and server health. Coordinates with GETS, DCH IT, HFRD IT, and other stakeholders as needed to address response or configuration issues. Calls in and monitors progress of tickets when needed to correct failures. Coordinates with federal government contractors and subcontractors, Alpine, AT&T, and Verizon as needed to troubleshoot problems and monitor solutions. Coordinates with GETS contractors including IBM, AT&T, and Dell to troubleshoot problems, log ticket requests, and monitor solutions to hardware and technical problems. Coordinates with document duplication vendors on installation issues related to HFRD copiers. Communicates regarding IT or technology-related issues with DCH IT, other HFRD IT Team Members, GTA, or other stakeholders as needed to keep interested parties informed. Works closely with QIES/ASPEN Coordinator to ensure that end-users have optimal system and application set up and that technical issues are resolved in a manner that is as expedient as possible. Writes or contributes to instructions or manuals to guide end users. Inventory control.
