About the role
We're looking for a Business Analyst, as a member of the Information Security Project Delivery team within Boots IT. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse landscape of applications and programs.
Reporting to the Delivery Portfolio Manager, you will work with members of the Security delivery and leadership team to jointly define with them the high-level scope, objectives and requirements for major upcoming and ongoing projects.
The day-to-day activities of the role will include but are not limited to:
Work with business and IT stakeholders and using a variety of techniques as suitable to define, capture and prioritise the backlog of requirements and create user stories, including functional, non-functional and IT operational requirements for the project.
Plan the business analysis work for projects by defining timescales, milestones and dependencies for the work to proceed in an Agile or Waterfall manner.
Work in a delivery team on large / complex pieces of work, ensuring that the vision, scope and requirements are aligned across the entire project.
Support the Delivery Portfolio Manager to engage with the Information Security leadership team to understand their strategy to create product roadmaps.
Support test teams and project managers with the evaluation of defects and prioritisation of these defects.
Help with UAT testing of products to ensure the initial user stories are delivered by the solution
Represent the business / leadership team and their requirements through the project lifecycle.
What you'll need to have
You'll have experience as a Business Analyst with the confidence and passion to take accountability for projects of varying scale and inspiring the implementation of outstanding solutions.
You'll have the ability to manage, influence, negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels in the business
You'll be detail oriented and strive for a collaborative understanding to deliver the best product for our customers.
You'll have the ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and work without supervision.
You'll always aim to understand and bring others along when your understanding is greater than theirs.
You will have experience working within both Agile and Waterfall software delivery environments and an all-round appreciation of IT delivery.

Experience working as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Agile Business Analyst.
Experience working in a project delivery environment.
Recognised qualification in business analysis.
