Job DescriptionPlease note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the entire IT Computer configuration of the property.Ensure that the entire hotel configuration experiences minimal operating interruption.Establish a maintenance checklist of all IT Equipment installed in the Hotel.Ensure that guest complaints related to hotel IT are logged, and quickly addressed to the full satisfaction of the guest. Immediate attention must be given to any guest complaint.Ensure that confidential information is not released to any unauthorized persons.Arrange application training of users, in coordination with respective Div/Dept. Heads.Train all hotel users in back-up data procedures and monitor to ensure compliance at all times.To establish emergency procedures and contingency plans for crisis situations i.e. when the system is down.Maintain proper documentation for all systems in useEstablish security measures on safety of files and disks on back-ups against fire and other possible damage.Assist the Financial Controller in the internal control measurements relating to ITMonitor interfacing of modules between various hotel systems to ensure efficiency and to prevent losses.Establish a system of contact with suppliers of hotel hardware and software’s for any arising needs.Make recommendations to management in respect of upgrades to existing software.To check on the status of computer system equipment and that they are adequate for department users. Schedule and prioritise user requests for heavy demands on system, if necessary.Conduct analysis of work flow. Recommend procedural changes as required.Ensure that all users are provided with adequate proper training in the day to day use of the hotel’s systems.Ensure that sufficient forms, office stationeries, computer items and others are readily available and at the same time ensure that they are within budget.Work closely with the Controller and the Finance Manager on whatever special projects are required to maintain and upgrade the quality of IT services within the Hotel.Be required to work at irregular hours and readily available on call basis on all systems problems and emergencies. QualificationsGraduate from work-related School/UniversityPreferable prerequisite is four years experience in hotel business.Deep knowledge in computer: Hardware, Software, Data Base, and Networking.Well experienced in systems design, analysis and project implementation, central reservation system, back office modules and interfaces.Maldivian NationalityAdditional Information
