For a project with a public sector client, we are looking for an experienced IT Architect with a focus on hosting and infrastructure. The role involves designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high availability hosting environments, leveraging modern technologies and methods.
Responsibilities:
* Design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-availability hosting architectures
* Utilize virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V
* Apply containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Implement SecDevOps and deployment management strategies
* Leverage infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
* Model and document software architectures (e.g., UML, ArchiMate)
* Ensure integration of networking, storage, database, and security principles
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in IT architecture with a focus on hosting/infrastructure
* Strong expertise in VMware and/or Hyper-V
* Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Hands-on experience in SecDevOps and deployment management
* Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
* Solid understanding of networking, storage, databases, and security principles
* Proven track record in designing secure, scalable, and high-availability environments
* Proficiency in modeling and documenting architectures (UML, ArchiMate)
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Utilities industry experience is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications (e.g., VCP, CKA, iSAQB®, ArchiMate)
* Experience with on-premises, hybrid environments, and migration projects
* Knowledge of ITIL and enterprise architecture frameworks
