About the job:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Integration and ABAP expert to coordinate SAP technical development activities, focusing on ABAP programming and system integrations. This role combines hands-on technical expertise in ABAP with coordination responsibilities to ensure seamless integration between SAP systems (S/4HANA) and external partner applications. The ideal candidate will bridge functional requirements and technical delivery, manage development teams or offshore resources, and drive high-quality, performant solutions, including integrations via middleware like TIBCO, IICS and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
CORE competencies:
Coordinate and oversee ABAP development tasks, including custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEF objects).
Oversees technical design, development, and implementation of SAP integrations using native tools such as SAP PI/PO, Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, OData, REST/SOAP web services, and proxies.
Design and coordinate bidirectional integrations between SAP S/4HANA (on-premise or cloud) and third-party/partner applications using TIBCO middleware (e.g., TIBCO BusinessWorks, certified SAP connectors for IDocs, RFC/BAPIs, and OData services).
Leverage SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite for hybrid integrations, API management, and connectivity to partner apps, including scenarios involving TIBCO as complementary middleware.
Monitor a team of ABAP developers (offshore), conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and optimize performance (e.g., using tools like Code Inspector, Runtime Analysis, and SQL Trace).
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in ABAP programs, integration flows (including TIBCO-managed interfaces), and hybrid scenarios involving SAP BTP.
Monitor integration flows, message processing (across TIBCO and SAP BTP), and system performance; analyse errors and implement improvements.
Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on SAP technologies, such as S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, Fiori/UI5, and evolving integration capabilities in SAP BTP.
Develop productive relationships with business leaders across the organization to influence how new enhancements can enable new sources of value.
Help to manage AMS partner personnel, developing their skills and capabilities to meet the needs of the organization, as well as building on existing recruiting capabilities to address new needs and skills gaps.
iShift ERP Governance, Strategy and Delivery duties:
Ensure the revision of changes submitted to the CAB meeting, ensuring they comply with the rules defined by the release management team
Co-Lead the CAB meeting, ensuring to communicate effectively with the several teams on the release management rules
Help to drive and manage escalation requests.
Be able to propose approaches to solve technical issues that may arise.
Collaborate on the definition and execution of Regression Testing campaigns.
Collaborate on the definition and execution of the DRP, Disaster Recovery Planning.
Collaborate on the AI initiatives (present and future) to simplify the
Work with the auditing teams to ensure all audit requests are provided in a correct and timely manner.
Ensure Core Model alignment, arbitrating when required or escalating to the corresponding Governance group.
Be able to adapt to changes in the governance process
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development,
Proficiency in ABAP Objects, OO programming, Web Dynpro, Workflow, SmartForms/SAPscript, and enhancements (BAdIs, User Exits).
Hands-on experience with SAP integration technologies (e.g., SAP PI/PO, CPI, API Management, Cloud Connector).
