What You'll Do
The Platinion Talent Manager will act as the holistic owner of the consulting team employment experience with a close focus on the business needs of BCG Platinion and the professional development of our consulting staff.
Staffing
Responsible for optimizing the deployment of consulting resources to meet our business needs while ensuring that each consulting staff member receives the right set of opportunities to support their immediate BCG Platinion Career Development objectives and their overall long-term professional goalsOptimizes team design, billability and achievement of business priorities through a deep awareness of current available skills, cases, leads/proposals, and office/firm goals; maintain a view of staffing pipeline at a macro and micro level (overall business outlook as well as specific staffing needs)Maintain an acute awareness of business environment; openly communicate information relative to case opportunities with individuals and staff availability with leadership and teams looking to confirm staff to projectsBuild strong relationships with client facing staff to understand development needs, preferences and constraints for staffing; discuss upcoming projects; advise on staffing choices to achieve balance between BCG Platinion's business needs and personal preferences if possible; communicate staffing decisions and related rationale; set and enforce staffing policies and expectationsCoordinate with local, system, regional, and global staffing teamsServe as on-point staffer your specific offices and work closely with case teams to identify appropriate staffing options.
Career Development
Actively engage in all CDC meetings for relevant cohort(s) of individuals; review meeting inputs and outputs; provide committee with market view of performance, pressure test and calibrate Advisors during meeting, ensuring best practices and consistent CDC decisions for relevant cohort(s)Act as strategic thought partner and provide leadership for committee(s) in partnership with CD Ops team on matters such as committee composition, training, and qualityPartner with Advisors to communicate CDC outcomes with individuals; reinforces and interprets meeting outcomes, provide ongoing advice, understand and appreciate the values of BCG Platinion and work to preserve these values in interpreting and resolving career development issuesReinforce CD messages through Staffing and development discussions to support individual development
Recruiting & On-Boarding
Actively engage with candidates and hires early in their BCG Platinion experience; participate in the conversion process; adapt early experiences to meet likely development needs in first casesProvide Recruiting and local leadership with a view on demanded profiles and cohort needsEnsure new hire set up for success through first staffing experience, helping create 1st level network, allocating “buddy” and CDA, and frequent check-ins in first months
Mobility
Understands all offerings and engages in discussion with cohort(s) on mobility optionsManages the lifecycle of all in/out transfers
Career Navigation
Motivate, help to develop, and provide coaching and advice to all members of the teamCoach and guide staff throughout their employment lifecycle on career options and opportunities; act as a trusted advisor to guide individuals into mutually beneficial outcomesUnderstand and communicate key programs including flexibility and global programs; coordinate use of programs to balance employee needs and business priorities

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required6+ years of HR/talent management experience or two+ years client-facing work experience in a professional services or equivalent organization strongly preferred

This role will work primarily with the various cohorts across Platinion in Chile and Colombia with a close connection to the rest of the ISA system (Iberia and Brazil), focusing on the needs of the firm, cohort and individuals. They will drive overall objectives of the business including balance and utilization, identify patterns across the cohort and use that knowledge to drive strategies, and support individuals in their staffing and developmental needs. In addition, this role is a member of the larger consulting talent team community in EMESA.
