Direct Hire position$21.00 /hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)Make daily headgate readings, report to the Water Master, and control irrigation systems according to water rights and instructions.Operate gates, checks, turnouts, and wasteways to regulate water flow.Patrol assigned areas to detect leaks, breaks, or obstructions, and perform emergency repairs as needed.Maintain canal banks and structures, remove debris, and perform off-season pipe installation and repairs.Conduct annual crop surveys, weed inspections, and complete other duties as assigned.Irrigation Operator Qualifications:
Experience with irrigation systems is a plus but not required.Must have a valid driver's licenseMust have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors.Must be available 24/7 during the irrigation season.Must have CDL A Must have experience with all forms of heavy equipment including blades and dump trucksApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
