Your ‘day to day’

You will be employed under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES), a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc.

As IoT & Firmware Architect, you will design and oversee secure firmware and cloud architecture for next-generation IoT devices, ensuring smooth integration and innovation. You’ll collaborate with dynamic teams of firmware engineers and hardware experts, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and creativity.

You will also have the opportunity to work on projects leveraging emerging technologies such as Cloud, APIs, and AI, contributing to our commitment to innovation and excellence.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed functional specifications for complex use cases within the B2C & B2B2C technology landscape.Define and implement security architecture for embedded firmware and AWS cloud solutions.Translate architecture concepts into real designs and guide development and testing.Support product teams with best practices for cloud, firmware, and security, including automation and tool selection.Drive architecturally significant requirements that guide development and testing across firmware platforms and subsystems.Contribute to firmware development for next-generation products, ensuring robust security and performance.Who We’re Looking ForUniversity degree or equivalent experience in B2C IT.6+ years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development and architecture design.Strong expertise in C programming, device BIOS, and low-level software.Experience in crafting solution architecture with SaaS/PaaS, AWS applications, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.Solid background in enterprise IT architecture, processes, and frameworks.Technical understanding of cloud and embedded product architecture, communication protocols, and networking equipment.Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin is a strong plus.Confident, analytical, and results-focused, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.What We Offer
