Investment Portfolio Associate

**Citi Investment Management** is a group within Citi Wealth that manages assets on a discretionary and advisory basis for high and ultra-high net worth clients globally. CIM manages a broad suite of investment strategies within single and multi-asset class products. CIM is currently seeking a Portfolio Associate to join our team of investment professionals and contribute to the investment management and portfolio construction capabilities of CIM’s strategies.
The primary role of the **Investment Portfolio Associate** is to assist Portfolio Managers (PMs) with the implementation of investment portfolios and support the broader portfolio associate team on various aspects
**Responsibilities:**
+ Support with daily trading activity (ETFs, Mutual funds, Cash), FX processing and general queries and administrative tasks
+ Act as an intermediary between PMs and operations on clerical matters such as account opening/closing, asset transfer, trade queries
+ Monitoring of cash/asset inflows and outflows as per process and manage associated data tracking spreadsheets.
+ Addressing front office inquiries and resolving related portfolio or operational issues.
+ Ensure client special instruction lists are maintained and utilized for pre-trade guideline monitoring
+ Ensure overdrafts are monitored. Monitor cash and portfolio additions and withdrawals
+ Work directly with operations on troubleshooting administrative matters
+ Support Portfolio Managers in understanding client investment objectives, portfolio construction, and portfolio execution
+ Provide account applications and other forms to relevant team
+ Support account opening process
+ Assist Portfolio Managers with client presentations and portfolio reviews
+ Lead on new projects and coordination with business management
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
**Qualifications:**
+ 5-7 years of direct experience in the financial industry
+ Strong academic record.
+ Bachelor's/University degree.
+ Excellent attention to detail and able to take initiative and function independently.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels in the organization and work as part of a team.
+ Strong Excel skills.
+ Expertise using Charles River or portfolio management system is a plus.
+ Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
