About the Role

The position is responsible in the overseeing and managing of the financial, investment performance, and governance reporting functions of the department. This role supports the Head of Investment Governance and Performance Reporting in managing governance framework, regulatory compliance, and performance measurement processes related to AIA PH and BPI AIA’s General Account and Unit-Linked Investments. The role ensures high-quality reporting, effective oversight of outsourced fund managers, and sound investment governance practices.

Reporting scope comprise of: (a) Financial Reporting and Analysis on investment activities including NII & GOE Budgeting; (b) Unit-Linked Investment Performance & Analysis; (c) Investment Marketing materials; (d) Investment GOE monitoring and SAA/TAA Sub-Fund Asset Allocation Monitoring; (e) Compliance monitoring; (f) Group Initiated Projects and (g) Other Management Reporting function.

 Investment Governance

Monitor compliance of outsourced fund managers with investment mandates, internal policies, and regulatory guidelines.Participate in the review of investment guidelines, mandate documentation, and fund manager governance reviews.Maintain and update the governance dashboard and monitoring tools to flag breaches, anomalies, or reporting delays.Supports the Investment Management Unit in conducting the due diligence and review of Fund Managers.

Performance Reporting and Analysis

Prepare and validate periodic investment performance reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for internal stakeholders, Board Committees, and regulator/s.Analyze attribution and benchmark results for both GA and Unit-Linked portfolios and highlight key drivers of performance.Collaborate with fund managers and custodians to ensure data accuracy and consistency in reporting.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare periodic investment management reports for local and Group MO team (i.e., reports relating to Performance Tracking, Summary of Invested Assets (SIA), OPAT reporting, and Asset Liability Management (ALM)).Prepare the annual Net Investment Income (NII) budget and monitors actual results for variance analysis.Prepare reports for the periodic Business Review (Monthly MBR and Quarterly QBR). Monitor of GOE budget for Investment DepartmentPrepares various stress tests reports relating to Performance and Risk management for submission to FRMC (i.e., Capital stress tests, Earnings Stress test, and Liquidity stress test).Prepare SAA/TAA sub-fund Asset Allocation monitoringResponds to queries from internal and Group stakeholders.Coordinates and collaborates with local and Group office teams on reportorial requirements and guidelines.

Regulatory and Internal Reporting

Prepares monthly Fund Fact Sheets and Annual Report of VUL (Investment sections), review inputs from Fund Managers, and ensure timely submission to Marketing.Assist in the preparation of investment sections of the Annual statement, Regulatory submissions, and Group reporting (IFRS, Solvency, Risk).Track compliance with ESG-related reporting requirements, such as sustainability disclosures or carbon intensity metrics.

Risk and Audit Support

Ensures that all procedures are documented and are aligned with the Investment Governance Framework (IGF).Support investment related internal audits and operational risk reviews, providing required documentation and follow-ups.Assist in the documentation of procedures, control checklists, and business continuity plans related to investment reporting.

Stakeholder Management

Coordinate with external fund managers, custodians, data vendors, and internal departments (Risk and Compliance, Finance).Prepare materials for Investment Committee, Board Committees, and Working Group discussions as needed.

Group-wide System implementation

Shall work closely with Group for any group-initiated projects aiming to automate the report generation process so as to ease work load at local level

Other Admin Functions

Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by the Supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements
