Investment Deposit Coordinator
**Our client, a Big 5 Bank, is currently looking to hire for an Investment Deposit Coordinator to join their team in Mississauga, ON! This role is best suited for someone with ~1 year of financial services or banking experience. We are also open to new college/university graduates who come from a Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or Finance Degree.** Investment Deposit Coordinator Responsibilities include processing transfers in and out, which involves daily case lists for both ATON (electronic) and NON ATON (manual) cases. Key tasks consist of redeeming funds and facilitating transfers to other financial institutions (FIs), either via cheque or through the ATON system. Essential details, such as client information and account/fund amounts, must be accurately recorded, with any deficiencies resulting in rejection. Candidates will be responsible for inbox management related to transfers, supporting document completion (e.g., Letter of Indemnity), and handling calls from both internal Scotia teams and external FIs. These calls primarily address transfer rejections and gather required information. Pending cases move to a second review stage (ACC). Training will begin with 10 cases per day, scaling up to 40–50, with an expected call flow of approximately 2–3 hours daily. Transfer-in responsibilities likewise involve managing a high case volume and ongoing inbox/call flow oversight. Team members will manage both incoming and outgoing transfer calls, coordinate fund movements with other FIs (such as Tangerine, MD Financial, Scotia Capital), and ensure cases are thoroughly reviewed prior to submission to external partners. Communication may occur via fax, email memos, or phone follow-ups, some of which may take up to 45 minutes depending on partner availability. The process for bringing in funds uses similar systems with minor variations. As this is peak season, the workload will be substantial. Qualifications 1. Strong graduate who graduated from - Econ, Finance, Business, Commerce program 2. Previous banking experience 1 year (preferred Scotiabank) 3. Strong communication / customer service skills - both written and verbal 4. Must have easy transportation to get into the office - 4715 Tahoe NICE TO HAVE: CSC OR IFIC certification Work Environment Work arrangements typically involve three days onsite and two remote but may shift to five days onsite based on performance and operational needs. Training is conducted in-office over five days, with rotating shifts (8–4, 9–5, or 12–8), including late shifts biweekly for one to two weeks. Team members operate across the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Canada, with 10–15 individuals per country, each handling designated priorities.
