Investment Banking – MENA Coverage – Analyst – Dubai

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business. 

The J.P. Morgan MENA Coverage team is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private M&A, equity and debt transactions across sectors involving corporate and financial sponsor clients based across the MENA region. We maintain leading relationships with some of the most prominent clients across the region and aid them in delivering on their corporate strategy and structure

As an Investment Banking Analyst within our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in the origination and execution of public and private mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures across all industry sectors. You will also provide equity and debt capital markets advisory on a variety of capital and debt raising transactions, including listings, rights issues, and acquisition & leveraged finance across the MENA region. Collaborating with other team members and colleagues from various industry, country, and product teams in other regions/countries, you will gain hands-on experience, continuous mentoring, feedback, and numerous opportunities for professional development.

Job responsibilities 

Support execution, marketing and coverage work across industries Research and analyse market data and companies Support preparation of client presentations Perform valuation analyses (e.g. based on multiples, DCF, LBO, etc.) Build detailed and complex financial models Execute transactions from pitch to close (e.g. public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures across all industry sectors, equity capital markets advisory on various types of capital raising transactions such as listings and rights issues across MENA, etc.)

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

Relevant full-time Investment Banking or Corporate Finance experience Proven financial modelling / valuation skills/ analytical skills, with high level of attention to detail Knowledge about the transaction cycle of relevant investment banking products Demonstrate commitment to a strong teamwork environment Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously  Being adaptable, flexible and resilient; ability to work self-directed and independently and to multitask on numerous assignments Proficiency in MS office applications and relevant knowledge of customary investment banking databases (FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.) Fluency in English required; with exceptional written and verbal communication skills Arabic is desired but not required
