At OoI, our mission is to protect and grow Vanderbilt’s endowment by achieving outstanding long-term investment returns. The endowment provides over $2.8 billion for student financial aid, programs, faculty, and operations. We partner globally to find superior investment opportunities.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Public Investments team, a small and collaborative group managing Vanderbilt’s $11 billion endowment. This role is dedicated to supporting our public markets portfolio, which includes global equities, hedged strategies, and fixed income 

Key Responsibilities

Research and analyze investment opportunities.Prepare materials to support investment recommendations.Participate in meetings and potential travel with investment managers.Monitor and report on investment performance.Assist in portfolio reviews and analysis.Maintain manager information databases.Stay updated on capital markets.Lead ad hoc research projects as needed.

 

Qualifications

This position requires a bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated interest in investments or finance, supported by an excellent academic record and strong work ethic. While our program typically hires directly out of undergraduate programs, we also welcome applications from candidates with some professional experience. All majors are encouraged to apply. We’re looking for curious, driven individuals who are passionate about investments and will thrive in an environment that values independence, initiative, teamwork, and open communication.
