We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Investment Accounting Lead.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

Primarily prepare general financial and regulatory reporting for book closing including daily ledger review and reconciliations, liquidity reporting and regular submission of financials to group aligned with accounting policyPerform an impact assessment of any new local or global rulesEnsure that the business is operating in compliance with external regulations and internal group finance policyAssist other departments and the business to ensure no breaks between front office systems and reportingRecognize fee income and make provisions at appropriate timesProduce business analysisPerform a critical review of new products or business initiatives raised, update accounting mapping to facilitate new bookings and ensure provision of sufficient resources for system testingPrepare / review journal entries for which front office system cannot directly feed into ledger

To be successful you will need

Bachelor‘s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldSolid knowledge in insurance business, accounting, reporting and finance systems and technologies are highly preferredQualified member from any recognizable professional accountancy bodies (e.g. ACA/CPA etc.) is preferredStrong business mind-set together with analytical and problem solving skillGood interpersonal, communication skills with confidence and competency to deal with senior business managers/ offshore team membersAbility to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholdersAbility to work effectively under pressure with competing and changing prioritiesExcellent team player, able to lead others into action, and with ability to work under minimal supervision, fluent written and spoken English and self-motivation
