It also enforces laws, rules, and regulations under the Gaming Statutes found in L.R.S. Title 27. The Internal Controls Section is within the Gaming Audit Section and is responsible for reviewing all internal control and house rule systems for all licensees and permittees, reviewing new games and equipment submissions, conducting and auditing the new game and equipment trials, and reviewing and approving all gaming equipment. Minimum Qualifications Three years of law enforcement, investigatory, or gaming regulation experience; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information JOB DUTIES: + Conducts detailed compliance reviews of casino (Riverboat, Land based, & slots at race tracks), fantasy sports, wide area progressive, and sports book (retail and mobile) written system of internal controls, rules of play, and house rules to ensure compliance with Louisiana Gaming Control Law and the Administrative Rules. + Ensures all requested amendments to the internal controls comply with the Law and the Rules. + Closely examines each internal control submission to ensure no unapproved changes are included in the internal controls, rules of play, or house rules. + Reviews job descriptions and organizational charts to ensure functions, duties, and responsibilities are appropriately segregated and performed in accordance with sound practices by competent, qualified personnel. + Researches and reviews new games and equipment requested by vendors for approval. + Schedules meetings for game demonstrations. + After completion of demos, must assess activity to ensure that games and gaming equipment comply with Louisiana Administrative Code and Louisiana Revised Statutes as well as Division Guidelines prior to approving new games and gaming equipment. + Confers with representatives of other gaming regulatory and enforcement agencies for the purpose of collection and dissemination of compliance information with the gaming industry. + Provides guidance, information and other assistance to Division Agents when questions arise concerning the reviews, consistency, and changes to the internal controls and rules of play. + Confers with Division Agents for compliance investigations of Licensees, Casino Operators, and Casino Managers.
