The Investigational Drug Service Technician is responsible for providing assistance and support to the Investigational Drug Study Pharmacist in providing investigational drug study services to patients requiring acute care.

Qualifications
+ Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Pharmacy Technician Training Certificate from an approved program, required.
+ Experience: One to two years of Hospital Pharmacy experience, preferred.
+ Licensure/Certification:
+ State Pharmacy Registration required annually, required.
+ PTCB Certification w/bi-annual recertification, required.
+ Additional Skills Required: Valid NC Driver’s License; considerable knowledge and application of basic math skills, including ratio and proportion relationships; familiarity with keyboard; extensive ability to communicate accurately and effectively under pressure; good written communication skills; ability to comprehend and follow verbal instructions’ Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)' age. Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
+ Additional Skills Preferred: Previous experience with outpatient drug distribution, adult education, research activities and procurement.
