What You'll Do

As a Senior Manager in Tech Sourcing, you’ll lead the delivery of strategic, high-value sourcing projects—working closely with clients to shape and implement IT procurement strategies that unlock lasting business value. Whether it’s cloud, infrastructure, SaaS, or managed services, you’ll bring structure and clarity to complexity, and help clients make bold, confident decisions.

 

You’ll be the go-to lead for key client engagements—facilitating senior stakeholder workshops, running impactful presentations, and ensuring smooth, collaborative delivery. Your deep sourcing expertise and proactive mindset will position you as a trusted advisor at every step.

 

But your impact won’t stop at delivery. You’ll help shape the growth of our practice—supporting business development, crafting compelling proposals, and strengthening our commercial pipeline. You’ll play a hands-on role in advancing our Tech Sourcing Advantage offering, helping develop new solutions and ways of working that raise the bar.

 

You’ll also grow the people around you—mentoring junior team members, guiding Career Development, and acting as a key knowledge partner across the practice. You’ll work closely with global peers to share expertise, elevate performance, and scale what’s working.

As part of a high-growth company, with accelerated opportunities you will be responsible to:

 

Lead complex sourcing projects. Own and steer delivery across multiple initiatives simultaneously—focusing on high-value IT categories such as cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, and managed services. Guide project teams, oversee 3rd-party providers, and ensure alignment with client objectives at every stage.Partner with senior stakeholders. Prepare and lead strategic conversations with clients’ senior IT and C-level executives. Translate complex challenges into structured recommendations that drive procurement transformation and long-term impact.Contribute to TSA growth. Drive the evolution of Inverto’s Tech Sourcing Advantage (TSA) offering—identifying and executing product development opportunities, ensuring the relevance of benchmark databases, and enhancing internal delivery tools.Apply deep sourcing expertise. Bring advanced IT category knowledge to client engagements—advising on the latest trends in IT procurement, shaping opportunity assessments, and tailoring innovative solutions using Inverto’s TSA resources.Fuel business development. Lead proposal creation and pitch strategy, adding credibility to client conversations and supporting leadership with go-to-market content and solution design.Scale team capabilities. Act as a mentor and Career Advisor for junior team members. Support team onboarding, training, and development across Inverto while contributing Center of Excellence activities.Enable project teams. Share expert knowledge across teams and initiatives—elevating delivery quality, encouraging best practice adoption, and ensuring continuity of excellence across the practice.

What You'll Bring

8+ years of relevant experience in IT sourcing across strategic sub-categoriesBachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Master’s preferred)Demonstrated success in leading multiple projects and managing teams of 6+ in fast-paced, client-facing environmentsProven ability to lead C-level conversations, set project direction, and deliver measurable impactDeep expertise in IT sourcing strategy, supplier evaluation, and contract optimizationOutstanding communication and presentation skills, with confidence in senior stakeholder engagementStrategic, results-oriented mindset with an eye for scalable solutionsBusiness-fluent written and spoken English language skillsWillingness to travel to work with clients and Inverto teams. At times, this role will require significant travel to client sites. The amount of travel will depend on client needs and nature of projectsAn authentic, entrepreneurial spirit that thrives through team collaboration

YOU'LL BE BASED IN: This role is currently open in our Chicago office.

 

YOU'LL BE TRAVELING: Moderate travel is anticipated and will vary based on specific project locations.

 

FOR U.S. APPLICANTS: The first-year base compensation for this role starts at $210,000. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution. BCG also provides a market leading benefits package described below.
