What You'll Do
As a Senior Consultant in Tech Sourcing, you’ll play a key role in delivering impactful, data-driven sourcing strategies for leading clients. You’ll work hands-on with complex IT categories—diving into cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, and beyond—to uncover value, assess suppliers, and build recommendations that make a difference.
You won’t just gather insights—you’ll turn them into action. You’ll advise clients on the right solutions, partners, and commercial structures, helping them navigate decisions that shape their technology future.
From day one, you’ll collaborate closely with experienced leaders, gain exposure to C-level thinking, and take ownership of workstreams that matter. You’ll also help guide junior colleagues—sharing your knowledge and setting the pace for the team.

As part of a high-growth company, with accelerated opportunities you will be responsible to:
Lead and deliver sourcing projects. Independently support or lead RFIs/RFPs, supplier negotiations, and end-to-end sourcing strategies across IT categories—always aligned with client goals.Drive analysis and value creation. Identify and size value opportunities through rigorous capability, price, and service benchmarking.Conduct in-depth reviews of contracts and data to ensure alignment with business objectives.Shape IT sourcing strategies. Translate opportunity assessments into IT sourcing strategies—whether that’s renegotiating contracts, creating preferred supplier pools, or right-sizing demand.Engage directly with clients. Collaborate with operational and mid-level client stakeholders, prepare impactful presentations, and contribute meaningfully in meetings and workshops.Thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Work in a fast-paced setting where ownership and innovation are encouraged. With early responsibility and broad exposure, you’ll help drive outcomes that make a real difference—for clients and your team.Contribute to our knowledge ecosystem. Keep benchmark tools up to date, share category expertise, and turn project insights into best practices for our solutions and new offerings. Work with internal product and leadership teams to ensure consistent delivery and knowledge transfer across projects.Support research and offering development. Conduct targeted research for expert categories, monitor market trends, and make proactive suggestions to strengthen our capabilities.Mentor and grow others. Take on initial management responsibility and steer junior staff and on your team. Providing feedback and helping them build confidence and capability.
What You'll Bring
2+ years of relevant professional experience in IT sourcing across multiple sub-categoriesBachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Master’s preferred)Proven ability to analyze data, benchmark contracts, and support supplier negotiationsStrong analytical skills and subject-matter expertise in at least one IT category (e.g., hardware, software, or services)Confidence to work independently, share perspectives, and influence client decisionsExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skillsResults-oriented mindset with a high level of personal accountabilityBusiness-fluent written and spoken English language skillsWillingness to travel to work with clients and Inverto teams. At times, this role will require significant travel to client sites. YOU'LL BE BASED IN: This role is currently open in our Chicago office.
YOU'LL BE TRAVELING: Moderate travel is anticipated and will vary based on specific project locations.
FOR U.S. APPLICANTS: The first-year base compensation for this role starts at $160,000. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution. BCG also provides a market leading benefits package described below.
