Responsibilities

The Inventory/Production Clerk is responsible for inventory accuracy in the manufacturing facilities. This position is responsible for the production entry of the Buford plant and all satellite plants as needed. The Inventory/Production Clerk enters purchase orders for consumables used in the manufacturing process as well. (IPC) maintains organizational channels of communication regarding inventory issues and works closely with production management, freight management, Purchasing Manager and CSR’s to manage and maintain lead times. (IPC) is responsible for purchasing of outsourced items. (IPC) is also responsible for overseeing all consumable items used in the facility. (IPC) must be flexible to work 40+ hours per week. The Inventory/Production Clerk position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Maintain accurate inventory and purchase of consumable items with replenishment schedulesSet pricing margins on non-standard itemsCoordinate BOM inventory with production scheduleReview and management of Over-Allocation Report and related products for “A” item productsSeek improvements in inventory accuraciesImplementation of proper inventory consumption transactionsMonitor and maintain inventory adjustmentsImplement systems of inventory controlNegotiate pricing with vendors for best priceReconcile inventory discrepanciesManage sourcing issuesMeet with vendorsMonitor In-Transit Interplant transactionsPurchase of consumable goodsMonitor movement of inventory at other locationsSeek improvements in production efficienciesProcess invoices of outsourced itemsUnderstand and practice ADS CORE VALUES

Job Skills:

This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management principles and techniquesAbility to communicate at different levels within the organizationOracle procedures and reportsAbility to solve problemsProduction and Inventory scheduling skillsExcellent decision making skillsCapacity and production planningInventory control skillsExperience in vendor negotiationsMicrosoft office and Oracle skillsMathematical skillsStrong interpersonal skills

Educational Requirements:

Recent college degree in Business Management preferred. Currently enrolled students accepted.Bachelor’s degree preferred

Preferred Experience:

Related inventory control/production experienceData entry experience

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift a maximum of 100 lbsAbility to perform labor in extreme temperatures and temperature changes for long periods of timeMust be able to sit or stand for long periods of timePosition requires full range of body movement including lifting, twisting, bending, reaching, pulling and pushingAbility to mount and dismount industrial equipmentWillingness to travel Company Benefits:
